At the risk of sounding a little dramatic - Scott probably has saved my life.

August 10, 2015 - One of the most important days in my life so far.  I walked into Equinox Gym for the first time to workout with Scott Schratwieser.  I was in the worst shape of my life and was going to become a bad statistic if I did not change something quickly.

I had 2 goals - 1. lose 100 lbs by June 30, 2016 and 2. Run one 10 minute mile.  I never ran a mile in my life and thought this would be a good place to start.

Scott became my partner, coach, and teacher to lead me through this journey.  He taught me how to eat correctly.  He taught me how to work out.  He pushed me when I needed to be pushed.  By February 2016 - I hit my 10 minute mile goal.  On June 30, 2016 - I hit my down 100 pounds goal.  This does not happen without an incredible trainer by your side.  During Thanksgiving dinner my family goes around and says what they are thankful for.  I will never forget when my 8 year old son said he was thankful for Scott (a person he never met but has heard about).

In May 2017, I completely surpassed my 10 minute mile goal, running a half marathon with an average per mile pace of under 10 minutes..  To think on August 10, 2015 that I would run for 13 miles averaging under a 10 minute mile, sounded like a complete impossibility for me.

I still work out with Scott today - Over 3 years later.  I am still down the 100 lbs.  People ask me if I am bored working out with the same trainer...First of all - those that know him, know he is a great guy - you are not going to get bored with him :).  But those that work out with him - they are the lucky ones.  I don't think I have had one repeat, completely the same workout with him since we started training together - We have probably worked out close to 400 times and not one workout was the same. When I workout with him - I feel spent - but in a good way - maximum effort yields maximum results.

At the risk of sounding a little dramatic - Scott probably has saved my life.  Not only has my change impacted me personally, but it has also helped me become a role model for my wife and 10 year old children around the importance of exercise and eating healthy.

Adam

I started sleeping more at night. As the weight started coming off and as my nutrition started to improve, I started getting stronger and sleeping better. My energy levels started to soar. I felt the best I've felt in my entire life after working with him for a year. I feel the strongest I've ever felt.
